If 4 students are extra in each row there would
be 4 rows are less . If 4 students are less in each
row there would 4 rows more . find the number
of students
in the class

2. The are of a rectangle gets reduced by 80
sq unit
if its length is reduced by 5 units and
the breadth is
increased by 2 units. If the we increase the length
by 10 units and decreased the breadth by 5
units
the area is increased by 50 units. find the

and breadth of the rectangle .
3. 8 men and 12 boys can finish a piece of
work in
5 days while 6 men and 8 boys can finish it is
7 days . find the time taken by 1 man alone
and
that by 1 boy alone to finish the work .
4. On selling a tea set at 5% loss and a
lemon set at
15% gain . a shopkeeper . gains Rs 84.
However
if he sell the tea-set at 5% gain and the
lemon set
10% gain Rs 104 find the price of the tea
set and
that of the lemon set paid by the
shopkeeper .

45 is subtract from twice
the greater of
two
number result in other number .If 21 is
subtract from the twice the smaller number
if
the result in the greater number .find the
number.

pens and 47 pencils cost Rs 631 . while 47 pens
and 59 pencils cost Rs 535. find the cost
of both.

boat goes 12 km up and 40 km downstream
in 8 hours .it can 16 up and 32 downstream
in same
time . find the speed of boat and stream ?
